廖朝骥博士

廖朝骥博士（Dr. Joe Liaw） 是马来西亚国际关系学者、媒体评论人与专栏作家，现任新纪元大学学院副教授兼文学与社会科学学院副院长。

他毕业于台湾政治大学（哲学学士）、香港中文大学（哲学硕士）与厦门大学（国际关系博士），研究兴趣包括马来西亚政党政治（含左翼运动）、东南亚冷战史、马来西亚与周边国家关系、伊斯兰激进化与区域安全、伊斯兰与中华文明、当代中国、政治传播以及马来西亚华人社会。

作为公共知识分子与媒体人，他长期主持 AiFM 国际新闻评论节目《国际廖理》，并在 YouTube、Spotify 等平台解析马来西亚与国际时事；马来西亚地名掌系列《廖聊地名》；同时为马来西亚主流华文报章撰写专栏，包括《有点意思》《长午餐》《永平》等，书写国际政治、美食文化、长期照顾与日常生活感悟。

Dr Joe LIAW Siau Chi is a Malaysian international relations scholar, media commentator and columnist, and serves as Associate Professor and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at New Era University College.

He was trained in philosophy and international relations (BA, National Chengchi University; MPhil, Chinese University of Hong Kong; PhD, Xiamen University). His research interests include party politics in Malaysia (including left-wing movements), the Cold War in Southeast Asia, Malaysia’s relations with its neighbours, Islamic radicalization and regional security, Islam and Chinese civilization, contemporary China, political communication and the Malaysian Chinese community.

Alongside his academic work, Dr Liaw hosts the AiFM international affairs programme “World Affairs with Dr Joe Liaw” and produces regular commentary on Malaysian politics and global issues on YouTube and podcast platforms. He also writes columns for major Chinese-language newspapers in Malaysia, such as “Something to Remember”, “Long Luncheon” and “Yong Peng”_, covering international affairs, food culture, long-term care and everyday reflections.
